Kai, also known as kaiocean, was born and raised in Japan before moving to Vancouver four years ago. As a DJ, he brings a dynamic collection of groovy, soulful, and rhythmic records. Growing up in an international environment, Kai and his friends were immersed in American Pop, Hip Hop, and R&B, which are central to his style. In recent years, he’s been exploring Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Dancehall, which now play a key role in his evolving sound. Known for blending diverse genres, Kai’s sets aim to connect with the audience and share his love for music across styles.
