From this point on the band was serving up styles of traditional samba, baião, frevo and choro . Alvin attributes his cool and sophisticated sound to his learning from his local heroes Bill Coon and Ron Samworth, as well as having the opportunity to learn from internationally acclaimed legends Peter Bernstein and Lorne Lofsky. In combining his love for early Jazz/Swing music with his contemporary influences, Alvin always aims to create a statement that adheres to a rich musical tradition whilst being exciting and fresh. Alvin was the recipient of the 2020 ‘Rising Star Jazz Musician Award’ by the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival.

Amber Elle Duo (Early Show)
Amber Elle is a Vancouver based singer-songwriter. Originally from Toronto, Amber’s music finds its own unique sweet spot between pop and soul. Amber's current focus is recording her unique originals and performing at more of Vancouver's beautiful music venues. Her original music focuses on honest yet sensual lyrics with an emphasis on authentic storytelling. You can expect a variety of rnb, originals, soulful songs and even some bluegrass country in Amber's sets. Her favourite part of creating and performing music is the way it allows people to connect and come together.
