In the spring of 2004 we see the beginning of Brejera when Mario Silva (Sao Paulo-Brazil) and Trevor Murray (Nova Scotia-Canada) started to experiment with samba and choro music together . From this point on the band was serving up styles of traditional samba, baião, frevo and choro . Venturing into a mix of Mario Silva on 7string guitar/vocals, Trevor Murray on cavaquinho/ vocals, Bruno Matos on pandeiro/vocals, Steve Bagnell on sax and Aiko Sato on trombone.
